EEO Outreach Efforts

First, the reporting period was only four months, not two years, as anticipated in the commission's rules. Nevertheless, the stations have a broad EEO outreach program, as demonstrated in the Annual Public File EEO Report, including an active internship program, attendance at job fairs and regular contact with local civic groups and churches that are reasonably likely to provide referrals for job vacancies in the future.

The stations do not perceive any current problems with its EEO recruitment program but does note that radio stations in small markets like Franklin, NC, often have their job offers rejected by employees who prefer work in larger markets. That simply requires the stations to be more tenacious and to emphasize the values of smaller communities.
